Today, the boys changed their Twitter name from TheWantedMusic, to TheWanted. Their username has been TheWantedMusic since they first got togather as a band in Summer 2010. A lot of their fans were very upset and shocked about the sudden change of username, as it's not only their original username, but it's the memories from the past 3 years of being a band. So why did they change their name, I hear you ask ?? Well the band's management updated their website saying "The lads have switched their Twitter username to @thewanted to make it much more simpler for people to find them and of course because it's actually the name of the band!" and Nathan Sykes took a picture of himself with their username written down on a piece of paper:
Lawson became a band in early 2010, after they had met at Chapman Square, London.
After supporting several artists, such as The Wanted and Avril Lavinge, their debut single came out in April 2012 called When She Was Mine. With over 100,000 followers on their official account, 90,000 likes on Facebook, making appearances at the likes of T4 On The Beach and V Festival and being confirmed artists at Capital Jingle Bell Ball in December, they felt it was time to do their own headline tour.
